About Unwind Massage Lounge

Built for people who never have time for a spa day.

Woman-owned. Walk-in. Zero-gravity. Founded in 2024 in the heart of University Park, Dallas.

Our story

We saw a gap nobody had filled.

Traditional massage spas require an appointment, an hour of your day, undressing, and $100 before tip. For most people — attorneys, parents, athletes, students — that's not a Tuesday afternoon option. It's a special occasion, or it doesn't happen.

We thought there had to be a better way. Massage as accessible as grabbing a coffee. Walk in, stay clothed, get real relief in 20 minutes, walk out. No commitment, no awkwardness, no tip jar.

Unwind Massage Lounge opened in Snider Plaza in 2024 as Dallas's first touchless walk-in massage lounge — a category that didn't really exist here before. We're still building it. The founders are still in the lounge.

The founders

Two different worlds. One idea.

Amanda and Jessica have been friends for over 25 years. Different careers, same frustration — self-care that actually fits your life shouldn't be this hard to find.

Amanda, Co-Founder of Unwind Massage Lounge

Amanda

Co-Founder

Amanda spent years in automotive retail operations — an industry that runs on efficiency, systems, and customer experience at scale. She knows how to build something that works reliably, not just on opening day.

She brought that operational lens to Unwind: a lounge that's frictionless from the moment you walk in, with consistent quality every visit and a long-term vision that extends well beyond one location.

Her goal was simple — create the kind of place she'd actually use on a Wednesday. Fast, effective, and worth coming back to.

Jessica, Co-Founder of Unwind Massage Lounge

Jessica

Co-Founder

Jessica's background is in high-end hospitality and restaurants — environments where the details of how someone feels during an experience matter as much as what they're there for.

She also has a personal connection to what Unwind does. Jessica has dealt with chronic migraines for years, and regular massage chair sessions became one of the few things that genuinely helped. That experience — relief that's accessible, not a luxury you have to plan for — shaped everything about how Unwind is designed.

She built the environment and the experience around one question: what would make someone want to come back tomorrow?

What we believe

A few things we're not willing to compromise on.

These aren't values we wrote for a website. They're the decisions we make every day.

Recovery shouldn't require planning

If you need an appointment, you're already putting it off. Walk-in isn't a convenience feature — it's the whole point. You should be able to decide at noon that you need a 20-minute reset and be back at your desk by 12:35.

Accessible doesn't mean cheap

$20 for a real massage isn't a compromise. It's what happens when you remove the overhead — the therapist, the oils, the treatment rooms — and put the money into the equipment. Our Osaki chairs cost more than most spas spend on a full room build-out. The experience reflects that.

No oils. No exceptions.

You walk in looking the way you want to leave. Clothes on, hair intact, no residue. We built Unwind for real life — for the attorney with a 1pm deposition, the mom on a 45-minute lunch window, the runner who just wants her calves worked on without a whole production.

Community is the business model

We're in Snider Plaza because we're part of this neighborhood. SMU students, Park Cities families, Greenway Park regulars — we're building something for the people who live here, not a national chain drop-in. When you're here, you're a regular, not a transaction.

The founders show up

Amanda and Jessica are in the lounge. Not in a corporate office somewhere reviewing metrics. If something isn't right, they're the ones who find out first and fix it that day. That's not a marketing line — it's just how we've chosen to run this.

Come see what we built. Walk right in.
